Bogna Tyc is a highly knowledgeable environmental testing specialist with nearly 20 years of experience in laboratory-based environmental chemistry.
Bogna developed her skillset by performing a wide range of analytical methods on a variety of samples over almost two decades. Her comprehensive understanding has given her the experience and expertise to develop and validate numerous methods to meet UKAS ISO 17025 and MCERTS specifications.
Experience
Specializing in organics analysis of water, soil, air, and stack emission testing, Bogna regularly performs testing of TPH, CWGs, PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls), SVOCs, Pesticides, VOCs, TO15 (gases), Chlorinated Dioxins and Furans (BS.I.S. EN 1948-2, BS.I.S. EN 1948-3).
She has extensive hands-on experience operating a range of analytical equipment, such as GC-MS, GC-MS QQQ, GC-FID, GC-TCD, High resolution (HR) GC-MS, Thermal Desorption (TD), Purge and Trap (P&T), Gas Entech systems.
Based at our Deeside laboratory, Bogna oversees an environmental chemistry department comprised of over 40 full-time staff. Her experience and knowledge allow her to support the professional development of junior colleagues and is driving up standards and competency across the board.
