"Manufacturers of radio equipment, or equipment containing any operation as radio communication or radio determination, must apply the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) to their product when CE marking to place that equipment onto the market in the European Union (EU).  

This paper is focused on the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and is intended to give a simple overview of the situation when EN standards become harmonized in the EU, but with a restriction on the Official Journal.
